WARRI – Ugborodo Community Council of Elders and Leaders in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has dissolved the three-year old Community Trust body following the expiration of its tenure of office. The council fixed the next election into the Trust for September 18 at Ode-Ugborodo, Escravos.
The dissolution was announced by Rear Admiral John Kpokpogri (rtd), the Special Adviser to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on Security Matters, at the Ode-Ugborodo town hall, at a gathering of the elders, leaders, women, and youths of the Ugborodo communities. Top Air Force, Navy, Army officers and Warri Area Commander of the Nigeria Police were in attendance.
Admiral Kpokpogri said that the security agents were already investigating persons responsible for the disputed advertorial concerning the dissolution of the Trust, adding that election into the new Trust would be guided by the Ugborodo constitution as amended.
