The Senate Adhoc Committee on Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) says Rivers State is now on the path of transformation under the Governor Chibuike Amaechi led administration.
Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Ahmed Lawan stated this, Friday, when he and other members of the Committee paid a courtesy call on the Governor in Government House, Port Harcourt.
Sen. Lawan who said the team was in Rivers State to carry out a first-hand assessment of government owned privatised firms, rated Governor Amaechi’s developmental achievements high.
“Rivers State has witnessed tremendous progress. In fact from a distance I have always admired what you have been able to achieve in Rivers. We want to see a replication of this kind of tremendous progress across the country.”
Speaking, Governor Amaechi expressed appreciation to the committee for finding time to visit him, stating that their assignment is sensitive and crucial to the development of the country.
