Nigeria’s Demola Osayemi Thursday won her third gold medal for Nigeria after winning the women’s 200 metres final in a time of 22.87 minutes. Osayemi had earlier won the 100 metres and the 4×100 relay.

Ajoke Odumusu also won gold for Nigeria in the women’s 400 metres hurdles event.

Shortly after this, Ajoke Odumosu team up with Abogoloko Bukola, Etim Magret and Omotosho Omolora to win the 4x400m gold. The 4 x 400m men were good enough for Silver.
