The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economic Team of the federal government of Nigeria, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has said that the twitter handle, @NOkonjoIweala does not belong to her and should in no way be associated with her.

The minister who spoke through her Senior Special Assistant on Communications, Paul
Nwabuikwu said though, the account has not been noted for any negativity, it was important to make the clarification for intents of public awareness.

“We have contacted Twitter to make a formal notification and are also calling on the person behind the account to please contact us immediately,” the SSA stated adding that the minister would be interacting with young Nigerians, whom she is passionate about via the handle – @NOIweala.
