NB rewards another student at Star Game Show

The number of student millionaires to emerge in Nigerian Breweries Plc organised Star TV Game show continues to swell as yet another student carted home N1 million (One million Naira) in the ongoing 2011 game show.

Chinedu Joseph, a 400 level student of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, from Abia State walked away with one million naira. Joseph became the fifth student to win a million naira.

According to Joseph, his winning the one million naira prize money was ordained by God. ‘I can only say this is God’s doing. When the raffle draw to select those coming for the game show was going on in Kaduna, I was not optimistic about it. In-fact, I threw away the slip I was given for the draws.

Were it not for my friends who convinced me to retrieve the paper, I would not be here now,’ he said.

Still explaining the role of God in his coming to Lagos to participate in the game show, Joseph narrated how he almost missed out on the opportunity of coming to Lagos for the game show: ‘I would have missed out on this trip to Lagos. During the raffle draw that was held in the bar where I was drinking Star in Kaduna, my number was randomly picked from the pile of other numbers.

The interesting thing was that two numbers were initially picked before mine but the owners of the numbers had apparently left the bar when they were called.
