NFF president, Aminu Maigari has called on board members of the Nigeria Premier League to support their new President, Baribote Rumson, in the tough task of taking the league to new height.
Maigari, who made this appeal weekend following the decision of the board members of the NPL to shun a meeting called by their newly elected President, Baribote, urged the league body to hold an emergency board meeting this week, where issues would be thrashed out for the game’s progress.
It was learnt that the NPL board members decided to shun the meeting called by Baribote because of the way he was returned unopposed at the elections, which were midwifed by the NFF.
The new meeting holds this Wednesday.
