Hajj: Max Air deploys four Boeing aircraft

KANO – Max Air, one of the official airlines licensed by National Hajj Commission for 2011 Hajj operations has deployed four Boeing aircraft for the exercise.

A statement made available to Vanguard by the company’s Media Consultant, Ibrahim Dahiru explained that the aircraft had been positioned in Yola, Katsina, Sokoto, and the Federal Capital Territory which would serve as departure centres.

Dahiru said about 41, 000 pilgrims from 16 states across the country will be airlifted to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that each aircraft has the capacity to airlift 15,000 pilgrims within a period of 21 days.
