National chairman of Urhobo Strategic Group, Mr. Festus Arhagba, has said that since Delta Central and South have had their share of the governorship of Delta State, Delta North will produce the next governor of the state in 2015.
Arhagba, in a statement, said that he had earlier warned Deltans on the vanity of the Ogboru petitions in the 2007 election and the negative implications of Urhobo aligning with Ogboru and the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP.
He said: “I am sure that Delta North Senatorial District will produce the next governor of Delta State in 2015, because Delta Central and South senatorial districts have had their share of the governorship for eight years apiece. I stated clearly that none of the petitions against Governor Uduaghan will succeed because the calculations were not in favour of Ogboru.
“You have a lot to gain when you support a credible person from another district. You cannot produce the governor all the time. Delta State is multi-ethnic, so we should use common sense and understanding to handle our issues.”
