I want you to know that God desires that you live a healthy life. That is why your healing, health and wholeness are so important to Him! Your health is an important part of His redemptive plan for you, if you are His child. He wants you to be well!

Last week, I taught on the reality of the miracle of instant healing. For instance, there was a time that Jesus visited the house of Peter. On getting there, He saw that Peter’s mother-in-law was sick of fever. For Jesus, that wasn’t just an ordinary fever. He knew that behind every sickness was and is a foul spirit of infirmity. Jesus swung into action, by rebuking the spirit of fever and immediately she was healed (Luke 4:39). In the encounter Jesus had with a leper, he touched him and immediately the leprosy was cleansed (Matthew 8:3). The Centurion’s servant, at the prophetic word that came from Jesus, was made whole that same hour (Matthew 8:10-13).

This week, I will show you some of the things that qualify you for a sickness-free life. The questions now are: Who are you to think of a sickness-free life in a world of sickness and disease? What is unique about you? I will show you who you are, so as to get you angry enough to reject every insult of sickness. So, let’s see some of those things that qualify you for a sickness-free life:

Being a child of God: Every child of God is qualified for a sickness-free life (I John 3:1-2). So, everyone that is born again shares the divine DNA with God. That is your number one qualification for a sickness-free life. So, whatever is not in God is not legally permitted to be in you. When you a child of God, you begin to enjoy your heritage of total health. Towards the end of this teaching, I will show you what it takes to be a child of God.

You have eternal life: When you are saved, you no longer carry a human life, you carry eternal life (John 3:15-16). You carry everlasting life; you share the same life with God. It was His breath that made you a living soul. That is what makes it instant, and when once discovered, God’s integrity is committed.

You are a spirit: You are a spirit in human body (John 3:5-8). You have a spiritual identity. Spirits don’t get sick. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). You are a spirit. A spirit is naturally immune to sickness and disease.

Why Jesus heals instantly: Price already paid: The price for your total healing has already been fully paid. So, Jesus is not preparing your healing, it’s already credited to your account. All you need to do is to go and draw it. In the natural, when you have paid for goods in a shop, the next thing you do is to take delivery of your goods, isn’t it?

It’s in His power to do it today: He has been given the power and authority to do so (Acts 10:38). He won’t ask you to come tomorrow for it, when He has the power to do so today (Proverbs 3:27-28).

Recognize that you have been re-positioned above sickness and disease: Redemption has re-positioned you above sickness and disease. You are seated today in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, far above the realm where the tormentors live. All you need is the shield of faith in your hand to quench all the fiery darts of the devil.

When you are hurt, God is hurt: Every time you are hurt, God is hurt (Jeremiah 8:21). Since He has the power and the authority, why should He keep Himself hurt? So, He heals you instantly.

He is a compassionate Father: Every time He had compassion on people, He healed their sicknesses. His compassion compels Him to heal instantly (Lamentations 3:22).

He is our covenant nursing mother: God the Father presented Himself as our Covenant Mother in Isaiah 49:14-15. A mother who is not a witch would want instant healing for her sick child.

Fundamental causes of sickness:
Curse of the law: One of the fundamental causes of sickness is the curse of the law. Deuteronomy 28: 59-61, talks about plagues, sicknesses, etc.
