In order to maximum the opportunities provided by the ever- growing Nigeria’s telecoms industry, and to put Nigeria in the digital map of the world, Webliquid Nigeria, a digital marketing and advertising company said it partnered with the Phillips Consulting Limited, to champion the revolution of digital marketing in Nigeria.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Lagos, to formally announce the partnership, the Founding Partner/Managing Director, Webliquid, Mr David Shiell disclosed that people’s ability to communicate, do business, and socialize is now being driven by the power of technology. According to him, the need to communicate, distribute and commercialize technology has given rise to digital marketing.
Traditional advertising is lineal. Offline media space has become very expensive with little or no way to measure the impact or ROI on huge investments.
But today, advertising is almost virtual and that is where we come in. Clients need more help on how to address the challenges of e-commerce. Web Liquid is helping clients engage customers and generate profit.
“We combine consulting services with advertising strategies, tactics and communications to facilitate better decision making and generate greater ROI from digital marketing. Our focus is on understanding our clients’ commercial requirements and business goals, and translating them into the metrics that matter and make a difference to the bottom line”, he explained.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Phillips Consulting Nigeria, Mr. Foluso Phillips said Nigerians are good in leap frogging and quick in picking up ideas and concepts, and expressed hope that in no distance time, the people would be used to digital marketing.
“We have the ability to leap frog. We leap frog in technology, including in the use of mobile phones and ATM machines. Therefore, the way Nigeria surprised the whole world in terms of cellular uptake is the same thing we are going to do with digital marketing. All we need is enabling environment.”
