Umuahia – ABIA State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, Tuesday, advised journalists not to use the Freedom of Information, FoI Law to witch-hunt imagined enemies in leadership positions, saying that it should be used positively.
Gov. Orji said this when President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Malam Garuba Mohammed, led a delegation of the union on a courtesy visit to Government House, Umuahia, adding that the law should be used for good governance and accountability.
Orji frowned at a situation where a reporter who does not like the face of a leader or any person would lean on the law for vendetta.
Mohammed was in the state as part of his tour of the 36 states to interract with journalists.
