Olive Microfinance Bank has empowered over 10 transporters with brand new buses worth about N40 million under its first batch of lease finance scheme.
The Managing Director of the Bank, Mr. Eniola Agbesoyin, who disclosed this recently in a chat with news men in Lagos, said the Corporate Action was in line with the Vision of the Bank to empower the active poor to succeed in life.
Agbesoyin said that what the Bank intends to achieve with the partnership was to extract people from poverty circle and launch them to a realm of prosperity through disbursement of micro- credits to artisans and coorporative societies.
He noted that the Bank also aims to sustain empowerment of its customers to access micro-credit products and other financial services through innovative financial solutions to meet their medium and long term project financing requirements.
Agbesoyin added that one of the Bank’s overall objectives also includes identifying, diagnosing, valuing and recommending businesses to its customers as well as ensuring that acquisitions, disposals and speculative activities are carried out profitably for the benefit of the customers and the bank.
He said despite the inclement operating environment, the bank’s future remains strongly positive which according to him, the Bank will continue to respond to the increasing pressure from under-performing national economy, and from a growing brand of very nimble competitors in its operating environment, by intensifying and broadening the Bank’s offerings in depth and breadth.
He noted that the bank which commenced operations about three years ago has distinguished itself as the leading MFB and a major contributor to the advancement and development of Nigeria through provision of micro-credit facilities.
