Nigerian club sides in the CAF Confederation Cup, Saturday, had mixed results in their first group games of the campaign.
At the Michael Adenuga Jnr Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure struggled to a 2-0 victory over Motema Pembe of DR Congo with goals from Dayo Ojo in the 53rd minute while Ajani Ibrahim made it two at the dot of 90 minutes.
The story was different in the northern city of Kaduna as Kaduna United Football Club were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Interclub of Angola. Cooreman’s boys got on the score shit in the 69th minute through Ali Adams but the visitors canceled it in the 92nd minute of the encounter through Patrick Patrick.
