Southern Africa Tourism Services Association has admitted Peacock Travels and Tours Limited South Africa as a member just as the parent body in Nigeria bagged Delta Airlines’ platinum award in Lagos.
A statement signed by the agency stated that the Delta Airline’s Platinum Award was given at a grand ceremony hosted by the airline in Lagos.
The statement said that the award was a testimony of the agency’s market leadership and innovative services in terms of volume of ticket sales of the airline.
The statement further stated that the two achievements are coming barely 18 months after the leading Nigeria_based company started operations in Pretoria, South Africa.
Peacock noted that that SATSA’s prestigious certificate of membership was received about two weeks ago in Pretoria, South Africa.
SATSA, which was established in 1969, is the body in charge of hundreds of tour companies operating in the Southern African region. The membership cuts across countries in the Southern African region including South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Namibia, Seychelles and Mozambique.
The Business Development Manager, Peacock South Africa, Ms.Rose Mabua, in the statement said that the approval was given after the company had been subjected to a very rigorous screening process by the SATSA.
The certificate, she noted, showed that the company had become a bonded chapter member with membership number 1910.
She said, “This is another testimony to the fact that our company operates under best practices and that we uphold highest industry standard in all our modes of operation.
I am very delighted to receive this certification on behalf of my company. We will continue to uphold the premium services we have been known for and we will always make sure that our numerous clients get value for money whenever they patronise us.”
According to Mabua, the SATSA certification came three months after the company obtained the revered membership of the Association of South African Travel Agents. She disclosed that ASATA membership number PEA 200 was given to Peacock in Park Town, South Africa in March.
Commenting on Peacock membership, the Operations Manager, ASATA, Hannie Erasmus, said “I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Peacock to the Association of South Africa Travel Agents.
