Oceanic Bank International Plc has commenced MoneyGram international money transfer services at it’s over 370 locations across the country.
The bank recently secured the nod of the Regulators to offer the electronic Money Transfer Service, which allows people to send and receive monies instantly across the countries where MoneyGram agents are present. The international remittance service is currently being offered at over 180,000 agents’ location in 190 countries.
The Group Head Product development, Mr Ikedichi Kanu, remarked that, “with the commencement of MoneyGram payments, Oceanic bank has consolidated on its strength as a retail bank, offering a diverse range of consumer-focused banking products, including globally recognized international money transfer services (like MoneyGram), as well as local money transfer solutions.”
The Head Consumer banking, Mr Funwa Akinmade, further stressed that that the service is now available at all Oceanic bank all locations, with the option of either Dollar or Naira payout to recipients.
Lastly, the Product Manager-Remittances, Mr Ayodele Adeyinka, mentioned that the service is easy, convenient and very secure, as Oceanic Bank offers its customers – and non customers – security, speed and the peace of mind to go about all their financial transactions, that the partnership between Oceanic Bank and MoneyGram is indeed a value-added one for its customers.
