AKURE—The Ondo State Government Tuesdaysaid that no worker in the State Civil Service would earn less than the N18, 000 minimum wage as stipulated by the law.

A statement by the Information Commissioner Ranti Akerele, said that the State government took the decision in full compliance with the law and urged its entire workers to ignore insinuations that the government was attempting to short-change them.

“Ondo State, in full compliance with the law on minimum wage has decided to pay the N18, 000 minimum wage to its workers. This was agreed with Labour Union leaders in the State, hence nobody should play politics with the issue”, Akerele stated.
