The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke, has stressed the need for the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) to fast-track its research activities in the petroleum industry.

The minister made the charge on Tuesday in Abuja at the Public Presentation of the Petroleum Technology Development Journal (PTDJ).

She harped on the importance of science and research to the exploration of oil in the inland basins.

“I commend PTDF for its contribution to education and the petroleum industry development, and I want to call for more in this regard,’’ Allison-Madueke who was represented by her ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Musa Goni, said.
