Lagosians rescue teenager from drowning

Following the heavy down pour in the early hours of yesterday, residents in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, rescued a teenage boy from drowning as several others relocated from the area.

Meanwhile, a traditional ruler, Oba Isiaka Balogun of Ketu in Kosofe area of Lagos State, whose Iwuye (inauguration) ceremony is coming up this month, has urged residents to maintain clean environment as part of measures to check flooding in the area and the state at large.

It will be recalled that Ketu had been listed by Lagos State Government as one of the areas in the state where heavy flooding will be recorded during this year rainy season, urging the residents to relocate.
