Ghana’s U-23 and Étoile Sportive du Sahel striker, Sadick Adams has said that the U-23 Eagles threw away their chances in the Kumasi battle in which the he led the attack that defeated Dream Team V 2-0.
In an exclusive interview with Saturday Vanguard Sports inside the Baba-Yara stadium after his team’s victory, he said the Dream Team Eagles did not make use of the two chances that came their way in the first half of the encounter.
“They played very well. They had their chances which they squandered but we had ours, and made use of it. This is because we are on top of our game and we won,” he said.
Commenting on his coach’s input in the game, he said, “He is a very good coach. He speaks to us in a very calm way in training and in the dressing room, encouraging us that we can do it.
The training he introduced also did us good. I want to thank him and also the fans here in Kumasi for supporting us all through.
“I feel very happy being in the team going to Mozambique. I think I will give the team 100% and even more because it was a very difficult game for us to win but at the end of the game we won 2-0 and qualified for the All Africa Games in Maputo, we thank God,” he added.
