Glo out with new 1-Derful offer

As part of plans to boost its subscriber base in the country, Globacom Nigeria last week declared a new package tagged 1derful offer for Nigerian customers, even as it also unveiled a partnership with Nokia to offer special internet bundles and other services to its subscribers on some select Nokia phones.

Unveiling the offer, the Globacom Executive Director, Human Resources, Mr. Adewale Sangowanwa, said that the new offer would enable Nigerian subscribers to make more calls with less cost, just as he said that the company’s partnership with Nokia would allow more subscribers to come on the network to increase its subscriber base.

“Our target is to be number one , to be the dominant player in the Nigeria’s telecommunication sector, we are doing over 20 million subscribers on our network and we are looking forwards to doubling that subscriber base in the next one and a half year,” said Sangowawa.

Speaking on the partnership tagged: “Glo Mega Deals,” the Globacom Director said that the partnership would provide a unique bundle offer for the new Nokia E6 handset.

He said the Nokia E6 handset is being introduced in Nigeria for the first time and with a unique offer from Globacom. The offer bundle is available on the Nokia E6, E7 and N8 devices. For just N7, 500, Glo is offering 6GB of internet data access for six months. Nokia E6 is a Business Smartphone with rich new features meant to enhance productivity.

“We are happy to partner with Nokia on this offer and we feel proud to bring to our subscribers the exciting E6 handset for the first time. The Mega Deals package ties in with the network’s philosophy of empowering Nigerians technologically and giving them access to the best value and pricing,” he stated.

On his part, the Chief operating officer, Globacom, Mohammed Jameel said that the offer is a further demonstration of the company’s commitment to giving more value to subscribers.

“We are happy to partner with Nokia on this offer and we feel proud to bring to our subscribers the exciting E6 handset for the first time. The Mega Deals package ties in with the network’s philosophy of empowering Nigerians technologically and giving them access to the best value and pricing,” he said.
