By GODWIN OGHRE

ASABA – All is set for the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, Oghara, to graduate its first batch of medical doctors before the end of 2011 academic session, just as it had received the accreditation of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN.

The hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Dr. Kalu Ogbureke, who said this, weekend, in a paper entitled The Journey So Far, during the hospital’s first  anniversary, said the hospital also received accreditation from MDCN to train house officers and run a school of nursing.

He added that the department of Anaesthesia, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Peadiatrics, had also received accreditation from the West African Postgraduate Medical College, WAPMC, to train specialists in those fields.

The other courses had also been accredited and licensed by the University of Portsmouth, England, that holds the franchise.
