Coca-Cola Company’s worldwide beverage sales rose 6 percent in the second quarter, adding to the Atlanta-based company’s string of sales increases.
Revenue rose 47 percent to $12.7 billion in the quarter, reflecting the acquisition of Coca-Cola Enterprises’ North American bottling operations last year as well as higher sales of soft drink concentrate and a cheaper dollar. The company earned $2.8 billion or $1.20 per share, an increase of 18 percent.
