3,000 ex-militants alleges exclusion from amnesty programme

Three thousand former militants, yesterday, in Ughelli, Delta State, alleged that they were denied admission into the ongoing Federal Government amnesty proggramme.

They had threatened to resume violence should the neglect continue.

The ex-militants, in a statement by ex-’generals’ Ejiro Irorobeje, America Daniel and Raymond Erharhadje, accused the Grassroots Coalition for Goodluck Jonathan, GCGJ which facilitated their dropping of arms, of failing to ensure their inclusion in the amnesty programme.

They said GCGJ had decei-ved them into dropping their arms without making adequa-te provision for them to be included in the programme.
