ENUGU—THE National Working Committee, NWC, of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, Wednesday, announced the expulsion of the Chairman of the party in Zamfara State, Alhaji Hassan Pawa, for alleged gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
A statement by the National Chairman of PPA, Chief Sam Nkire, said the former state Secretary of the party, Alhaji Muhammed Musa Maru, had been appointed Acting Chairman.
of the party in Zamfara State.
Nkire further listed other officials of the party in the state as Alhaji Sule Garba Mafara, Secretary; Issa Bello, Treasurer; Gladys Okereke, Woman Leader; Shamsudin Mohammed, Youth Leader; Adamu Abubakar, Organising Secretary; Jamilu Barau, Public Relations Officer and Uche Ifedi, Auditor.
He said: “The party took into consideration the fact that disloyalty and indiscipline were the two most serious offences in party politics.”
But he did not give details of the offences allegedly committed by the expelled party chairman.
He, however, warned other party members to remain committed to the ideals of the party, adding that it was better to have a small party than to have a large army of undisciplined party men pulling in different directions.
