Worker wants Fashola to construct more recreational parks

Mrs Prisca Lawson, a social services manager has urged Governor  Babatunde Fashola who was recently sworn in for his second term in office to construct at least four recreation centres in each of the 20 local government areas, LGAs and 37 local council development areas, LDCAs, in the state.

Lawson, Managing Director of Caprice Creation, gave the advice over the weekend at the Caprice Children Day Fiesta held at Sandfills Layout, Ogudu Ojota, in Kosofe Local Government Area of the state for children living in within the LG and the kids from the less- privilege homes.

According to her: “After much research we discovered that this has always been the missing link in the lifestyle of children in the state”.

She stated that many LGs and LCDAs have lands where those centres could be constructed but were not being fully utilized.

Lawson said: “If these centres are constructed in all LGs and LCDAs, event managers in the state will from time to time organise events that will afford the children from both public and private schools to relate with one another.

“While at the events, competitions will be organised to further instinct healthy rivalry in them,” she said.
