All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Abia State, has been commen-ded for withdrawing its election petition against Governor Theodore Orji.
Former media adviser to the governor, Ugochukwu Emezue, in a statement hailed the action of APGA leadership, which he described as commenda-ble.
The opposition party, Tuesday, through its counsel, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu, filed an application to withdraw the petition, which the Tribunal Chairman, Justice Mobolaji Ojo, obliged by striking out the petition.
Ugochukwu said APGA had done well by accepting the governor’s call on opposition parties to join forces with him to build Abia in the next four years.
Ugochukwu urged APGA to remain in the vanguard of ensuring that Abia was transformed through valuable contribution. He urged other parties to emulate APGA and join the crusade to build a new Abia with a strong education, infrastructure and security.
