Umuahia – In a bid to clean up Aba, Umuahia and other cities in the state, Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, Monday, launched nine refuse disposal trucks with a warning to the people of Aba to be disciplined.

Commissioning the trucks, Governor Orji announced that another truck was being awaited, while many more would come in batches.

According to him, the state government accords great importance to cleanliness, hence the procurement of the disposal trucks.

He announced that some receptacles would also be procured so that wastes would not be dumped indiscriminately.

The governor said the procurement of the trucks to keep the state clean was part of the resolution to change Abia State.
