ASABA— DELTA State chapter of Labour Party, LP, has commended the appointment of former Chairman of the Delta State Council of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Mr  Ovuozourie  Macaulay, as Secretary to the State Government, SSG, in the state.

In a congratulatory letter to Mr  Macaulay,  who was also a former chairman of the state chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, the party commended the  state governor,  Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, for the choice of the former NLC chairman.

The congratulatory letter by chairman and secretary of the party in the state, Mr Emeka Nkwoala and   Peters Emuakpoje, respectively,  congratulated Macaulay, on his well-deserved appointment, saying “we have no doubt that as a former NUJ state chairman, former NLC state chairman, former Commissioner on Ethnic and Conflict  Resolution, he will do well in office and immediate past commissioner for power and energy, you have the prerequisite knowledge to handle the functions your new office entails effectively.”

“We equally commend  Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for appreciating and rewarding excellence.”
