Birnin Kebbi – Kebbi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment towards improving the agricultural sector in the state.
Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu, said this while receiving a team from the World Bank and the Federal Government Supervision Mission for Fadama 111 Projects which paid him a courtesy visit, yesterday in Birnin Kebbi.
Aliyu also explained that the government has embarked on provision of social amenities across the state, through a series of empowerments on agricultural activities, considering the fact that most people in the state are farmers. Members of the team were drawn from the states in the North-West zone -Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi.
Delegates from the World Bank led by Dr. Obadiah told the Deputy Governor that they were in the state for the fourth joined World Bank Supervision on Fadama Projects Development in the states.
