ABUJA-THE Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has disclosed that it has concluded arrangements to fly the recent Abuja bomb blast victims abroad for limb replacement and complete rehabilitation.
Speaking yesterday when he visited the victims at the Asokoro and Wuse District hospitals respectively, FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Biodun Nathaniel Olorunfemi, who directed FCT Health & Human Services Secretariat to take over the process and fast-track it, said the victims might be flown abroad within one week to accelerate their recovery process.
According to him, the administration was awaiting the recommendations of the FCT Hospital Services Management Board on the possible ways of assisting the victims get re-integrated into the society after the traumatic incident.
The Permanent Secretary who commiserated with the victims, however, assured them that the FCT Administration will continue to foot all their medical bills, just as he commended the medical personnel handling them in both hospitals for their professional skills, commitment to duty and patriotic disposition.
