To commemorate 2011 International Day of the African Child and Children’s Day, First City Monument Bank Plc, FCMB, in partnership with UNICEF is organising a ‘photography to painting’ competition amongst junior secondary school students  across selected schools in Lagos State.

The project, themed Survival of the Nigerian Child, according to a  statement  by FCMB and UNICEF, is aimed at drawing attention to the plight of the African child and raise funds for the benefit of the underprivileged children in Nigeria.

Children from the selected junior secondary schools in Lagos are also expected to go into the community and take photographs that depict their own interpretations of the theme.

Each participating student will print a picture and do a painting, using the picture that was taken as reference.
