The Lagos First Lady, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola has charged telcom operators in the country and other public spirited individuals that have genuine love for the development of Nigerian children to partner the state government in the noble task of returning the public schools to its past glory.
Mrs. Fashola made the call last week at the official commissioning of Oremeji primary School II, Tolu School Complex, Ajegunle donated by Airtel Nigeria Limited.

The first lady who was delivering a keynote address at the occasion described the gesture by Airtel Nigeria as a seed of public private partnership initiative of the state government which was started in 1999.
“I am personally delighted that this beautiful structure has found its way into this populous city, Ajegunle. He ultimate goal is to arrest the ugly trends of neglect this sector has suffered over the years,” she noted.
In his speech, MD/CEO, Airtel Nigeria, Rajam Swaroop said the school commissioning marked the beginning of a journey that is not only important to Airtel but crucial to the future and development of Nigeria as a great nation.
“As we sit in the midst of these children this afternoon, it is an understatement to say that my heart leaps for joy especially when I ponder the extremely exciting journey to Oremeji primary school 2, Ajegunle,” said Swaroop.
