ACTIVITIES marking the 30th anniversary of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) were flagged off yesterday and will run till Sunday. As part of the programme the new ultra-modern headquarters building known as the Cathedral of His Glory will be dedicated on Saturday by 10:00 a.m.
Other special activities lined up for the 6-day anniversary celebration include an International Women Prayer Conference tomorrow at 9:00 a.m, Business Summit for the Men on Friday at 9:00 a.m and the anniversary thanksgiving service on Sunday.
The guest speakers at the anniversary include the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Dr. Abel Danina of Power Chapel International, Uyo, Rev. (Mrs.) Chichi Bis-mark from Zimbabwe, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of Fountain of Life Ministry, Lagos, Rev. Ayodeji Cole from TREM Utako branch and other anointed men of God. Guests expected at the event include top gov-ernment officials, leaders in the Christian Commu-nity, top diplomats, busin-ess moguls and other renowned members of the society.
Various gospel artistes are also expected to minister during the power-packed celebration. According to a statement from the bishop’s office, The Redeemed Evangeli-cal Mission (TREM) which has grown to a ministry with over 200 branches in different part of the world, was officially launched on January 4, 1981 from a humble beginning in an uncompleted building.
