We won’t leave school because of music – Enigma

By Charles Mgbolu

A new music trio is presently rippling the waters of fame on the Nigerian music scene.

This group Enigma 3 already have two hit songs- one in a million and help the children to their credit but two of them; Samuel Frank and Peter Umanah are still university undergraduates and they say they will never take the option of dropping out of school to pursue their music career.

This is announcement is coming following a steadily intensifying trend of undergraduate music stars dropping out of school shortly after hitting music stardom to pursue their dreams with the latest coming from the new kid on the bloc Whiz Kid who said he had to drop out of his International Relations degree programme at Leedcity University to concentrate on his music career. According to reports, Whiz kid had said: “I could not continue with school studies as it gave me less concentration on my musical career.”

Samuel who is the lead vocal of Enigma 3 and brain behind most of their songs however insists this will not be their lot. He said: “Education is a priority for us and we will never abandon it just because we want to follow up on our music career.

We will definitely finish school first”. Godwin Effiong who is the third member of the group is thankfully in the clear as he is a graduate of Estate management from the Akwa Ibom state polytechnic.

Enigma 3 currently have a video out for one in a million but is yet to be with any record label. Samuel said: “We hope that soon we will have a marketer and be on a record label so that we can shoot our other videos. We decided to move from Calabar to Lagos because of this reason as this is where it’s all happening. Lagos is the entertainment nerve center of the country”
