Uduaghan’s achievements earned him 2nd term- Djebah

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Oma Djebah, has said that the achievements of the state governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, in his first term as well as the trust and  unflinching confidence reposed on him by Deltans earned him the new mandate for a second term.

This came as he appealed to those in opposition to sheathe their sword and work with Governor Uduaghan for progress and rapid development of the state.

In a statement yesterday, Mr Djebah reeled out the achievements of Uduaghan, saying they were in the critical areas of peace and security, Human capital Development and Infrastructure Development which have made very positive impact on the lives of Deltans across the state.

He listed Uduaghan’s achievements to include: Asaba International Airport project (nearing completion); Orogodo Erosion control project (on-going); opening of 42 schools in the riverine areas, closed during the ethnic crises in Warri and environs; street lights and beautification projects (Warri, Asaba, and other major cities/towns); construction of Sapele-Abigborodo road (on-going); Dualisation of Ugbenu-Koko road (on-going); Dualisation of Asaba-Ughelli road (on-going); Dualisation of the old Lagos/Asaba road, Boji-Boji; and Construction of permanent Government House Asaba..

Other projects are: Construction of High Court Complex, Warri; Construction of Delta Tower, Abuja; Beatification and Re-construction of Effurun Round-about; Reconstruction of markets at Mosogar, Patani, Abavo, and Ekwuoma (completed); Construction of residential buildings including rural housing schemes and Free Maternal Health programme across the state.
