The Managing Partner of the Hartfield-IMC Partnership, Mr. Tosin Oyelese, has enjoined Nigerians not to look down upon salespersons, saying “more than 85 per cent of the CEOs’ of most of the Fortune 500 companies were once sales executives.

Briefing the press on the company’s mission to change the negative perception of sales and empower salespeople of all levels and backgrounds to become high-achieving revenue generators, Oyelese, noted that no other job title attracts more derision in the world of business and yet “we are all Salespeople whether we choose to admit it or not.”

“CEOs’ sell their companies to prospective investors, employees sell their company’s products and services, and men sell themselves to gain the affection of prospective girlfriends! We are all sales people!”

Against this backdrop, he said that the Hartfield-IMC Partnership is coming together with the common mission and vision of changing the Nigerian business landscape starting with the key area of sales.

According to him, this partnership takes pride in having developed and packaged a training programme which draws on psychology, sales techniques and scientifically-proven principles which have contributed to the continued success of some of the leading organisations in the world.

Giving some insight into how this partnership was birthed, Mr. Oyelese stated “Our company, Hartfield being a Search & Selection company is often bombarded with requests for high quality senior sales executives by clients.

He further disclosed that the tutoring team consists of Mr. Lanre Olusola , said to be the most influential Life Coach in the country today, as well as Mr. Segun Akande, one of the country’s leading Salesmen with a growing reputation as an outstanding facilitator of sales and motivational courses. “Over a 5-day period, participants will be exposed to the best aspects of peak performance coaching and fundamental sales training,” he said.
