Umuahia – THE member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency of Abia State in the Federal House of Representatives, Chief Stanley Ohajuruka, has said that the 7th National Assembly, which is about to wind up, did not perform very well.
He attributed the poor performance of the National Assembly to the dominance of one party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ohajuruka, who contested the last general election as governorship candidate of Labour Party, also alleged interference by the executive arm of government as one of the reasons NASS failed to perform.
He said: “I think there was so much interference by the executive arm because of the dominance of one political party.
“For those of us in the opposition parties, when you try to proffer credible solution to certain positions of the chamber, they will shout you down.”
