Seasoned finance expert, Olufemi Awoyemi has been appointed a member of the editorial board of the journal of Banking by the Chattered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Awoyemi who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Proshare Nigeria, a leading investment management firm and publishers of the Proshare Portal is an Economic Analyst/Investment expert of over two decades of practice. Awoyemi, a Chartered Accountant by training is an alumnus of various Institutes of Business managemen both at home and abroad. He was one of the founding Board Executives of Financial Standards, Nigeria’s number one Finance Newspaper.

He is also serving on the B-oard of various top Flight Investment Management Firms, one of which is Value Frontera Ltd. Femi Awoyemi’s Proshare portal apart from being a critical voice that set standards for stake holder’s in the financial sector of the Nigerian Economy, also serves as a “Confidence parliament” for intending investors in the money market sub-sector of the economy.

His appointment as a member of the editorial board of the journal of banking by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is seen by analysts as a great advantage that will bring a lot of changes to policy formulation in the economic segment of the polity.

In a letter dated May 9 and which a copy was obtained from industry source, CIBN commended Awoyemi’s foresight at critical issues affecting the economy in a critical time like this, and declared that the council of CIBN at it recent meeting approved the recommendations of the research and strategic planning committee of the body, recommending Femi Awoyemi as a member and that the appointment is with immediate effect.
