PDP chieftain tasks Jonathan on security

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, Mr. Marc Wabara, and former Managing Director of the defunct Hallmark Bank Plc,  has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that security agencies in the country were strengthened  to avert a repeat of the killings that took place in some northern states, in the aftermath of the April 16 presidential election.

Wabara commended  INEC for delivering to Nigerians a relatively good polls, adding that President Jonathan should also be commended for keeping to his promise of not interfering in the electoral process.

He said: “President Jonathan deserves to be congratulated for promising and delivering on this promise of giving Nigerians  transparent, free, fair and credible elections.

“We hope that our security agencies are strengthened in view of the killings because no society can develop properly in an atmosphere of insecurity.”
