In a condolence letter to the CJN, Governor Oshiomhole said: “I learnt with deep shock and grief the news of the death of your beloved wife, Mrs. Victoria Katsina-Alu, in an unfortunate incident over the weekend. On behalf of the people and Government of Edo State, I offer my profound condolences.
“We share Your Lordship’s grief and the pains of the Katsina-Alu Family at this very trying moment of the loss of a beloved wife and mother.
Much as Mrs. Katsina-Alu’s loss is painful to bear, we urge you to take heart and trust that her faithful Lord cannot be wrong in His judgment on how long she sojourned on earth. We urge you as well to be consoled by the good life she lived as a devout Christian wife and mother.
“Our prayer is that our Heavenly Father in His infinite mercy will grant her eternal rest in His hallowed company as befitting a devoted servant of the Lord. We also pray God to shower his consoling grace on Your Lordship and give the family the fortitude to bear her loss.”
