Judges’ absence stalls Akingbola’s arraignment

 By Abdulwahab Abdulah

LAGOS-The planned arraignment of the former Managing Director of the Intercontinental bank Plc, Dr. Erastus Akingbola before a Lagos High Court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was, yesterday, stalled as virtually all judges in the state High Court were absent.

This  came  as the anti graft agency continued its arrest of some of the bank chiefs, their family members and some of their alleged business partners in Lagos.

The list continues to grow with the fresh arrest of Mrs Elizabeth Atuche, wife of the former Managing director of Bank PHB Plc, Mr. Atuche and one Bayo Dada, who according to EFCC was an associate of Dr. Akingbola, former MD of Intercontinental bank.
