WARRI-TWO Isoko leaders, yesterday, expressed delight over the 10 names submitted by the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, to the national leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for ministerial positions in the state.
They said that they were hopeful that President Goodluck Jonathan will, this time around, appoint an Isoko man as a minister in his cabinet.
The Isoko leaders, a former chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, now a PDP leader, Chief Sam Egwerome and former national secretary of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Minerals Producing Communities Organization of Nigeria, TROMPCON, Prince Maikpobi Okareme, spoke separately in interviews with Vanguard.
Surprisingly, the name of the Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi was not on the list, which contained the names of his Niger Delta counterpart, Elder Godsday Orubebe, former Action Congress of Nigeria gubernatorial candidate, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege and others.
