INEC is announcing election results at its collation centre in Owerri.
The collated results are that of the supplementary election held, yesterday, and the earlier inconclusive election.
Acccording to INEC, the results for 26local government areas are being collated without that of Oguta Local Government where report say, election did not hold, yesterday, due to security threats.
Prof. Hillary Odoagah, Vice Chancellor of Michael Opara University of Agriculture Umudike and INEC’s Returning Officer, later announced the collated results.
According to Prof. Odoagah, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship candidate, Rochas Okorocha scored 336,859 votes with the incumbent governor Ikedi Ohakim of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, scoring 290,490 votes.
He declared the APGA candidate, Rochas Okorocha as winner of the Imo gubernatorial election having scored the highest number of votes .
