I’ll revisit ceded 86 oil wells issue, says A-Ibom Rep-elect

UYO – MEMBER-Elect for Ikot Abasi/Mkpatenin and Eastern Obolo federal constituency in Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Akpan Micah Umoh, has vowed to ensure the review of the issue of return of 86 oil wells to Rivers State.

Dr. Umoh, who spoke in Uyo after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said the issue was a knotty one that needed to be fully addressed.

He said he would use his wealth of experience in the private sector to assist the state governor in the efforts to industrialise the 31 local government areas of the state and urged President  Goodluck Johnathan to do more in the area of providing power to the citizens.

Other members who received their certificates of return included Kenneth Archibong of Ibiono Ibom/ Itu; Emmanuel Ekpenyong, Uyo; Dan Akpan, Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium; Robinson Uwak, Oron/Urue Offong/Uduko/Udung Uko/Mbo/Okobo, among others.
