How Ibadan rocked and rolled with GLO

Globacom’s Rock and Rule, Ibadan concert may have come and gone but the vibes that it created on the city’s social scene are unlikely to die down in a hurry.

The Rock and Rule train parading top of the pack artistes like self-styled African rapper number one, MI, free madness crooner, Terry G; Wande Coal, Eedris Abdulkareem, and a couple of upcoming artistes performed as if their whole life depended on it.

Bringing their well-accentuated musical ingenuity seen only on tube to reality to the delight of their enraptured audience, the camaraderie could best be likened to that obtainable during international musical concerts.

Globacom had spared no expense to bring fun and entertainment to its teeming subscribers round the nation as a means of showing appreciation to them for having supported the network on its way to becoming the best telecommunications service provider in the country

Besides this thrilling experience of seeing their musical idols live, Nollywood divas, Funke Akindele and Uche Jombo were present to add pep to the event compered by Gbenga Adeyinka and ace comedian, Bovi. DJ Jimmy Jatt was on the juke box dishing out chart busters one after the other to the exhilaration of the crowd.

A major feature of the night was the Mr and Miss Rock n Rule competitions. Astonishingly beautiful young men and women turned out in their best looks while the young men displayed their talents and charm to the delight of the judges who had trouble choosing from the bevy of damsels and the men.

In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Antai Victoria Inyang was declared Miss Rock ‘n’ Rule while Inyang Gloria Nyong and Olasumbo Okezie Are emerged first and second runner-ups respectively.

For the male category, Oluwatosin Ogo-Emmanuel emerged Mr Glo Rock ‘n’ Rule while Bolaji Ogunbiyi and Tayo Mayowa Oloyede emerged first and second runners up respectively.
