LAGOS—Members of the Jonathan-Sambo for Presidency in the United States of America (JOSA-USA), have congratulated President  Goodluck Jonathan and Vice-President Namadi Sambo on their victory at the polls, stressing that their election had  been internationally- acclaimed to be the freest, fairest and most credible election Nigeria has ever had.

In a statement jointly signed by Jimmy Asiegbu, National Coordinator and Comfort  Echikwa Usukumah, respectively, the group said they were  poised to partner with the new administration of President Jonathan. They said they were willing to provide strategic policy advice when needed.

“JOSA–USA pledges its support to the President’s administration and calls on all Nigerians to rally round them.  We like to reassure President  Jonathan and Vice-President Sambo that we are  behind them as they lead our country, Nigeria.

“We use this opportunity to thank all those who answered our appeals and campaigned/voted for President Jonathan.
“We are  also using this opportunity to appeal to the President-elect to extend his olive branch to all those who contested the presidential election to assist him in building a better Nigeria. JOSA-USA believes that we are all winners as there are  no losers.

“We are  proud of our association with President Goodluck Jonathan’s Campaign Organization right from the moment in 2010 when he announced his intention to run for the presidency.

Today, JOSA-USA is even happier to have been active participants in the campaign that has brought about a resounding victory for President Goodluck Jonathan.

The victory of President Jonathan, according to the group  is non_sectional, adding that  Nigerians in all the regions voted overwhelmingly for him and his deputy.
