As President Goodluck Jonathan continues to grapple with intense lobbying to consider some personalities in the South-Eastern part of the country for the position of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Abia Citizens Forum has cautioned him to tread carefully.
At its review of the just concluded general elections in Lagos, the group resolved that President Jonathan should appoint a credible Igboman as SGF.
Its position came against the backdrop of speculations that the position may have been zoned to the South-East geo-political zone by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Leader of the group, Jorome Eke-Kalu said: “President Jonathan should make good his promise to assemble a good team. That is why we want only men of integrity who have no skeleton in their cupboards to occupy the SGF position.
“In as much as we believe that the position has been reserved for Abia State because it delivered PDP candidates at all levels, the candidate must be a good person who is seen to have contributed to the success of the government in the state.
