Some weeks back, Showtime in a story revealed that Michael Ugochukwu Stephens aka Rugged Man had suddenly jetted out of the country on a business trip after completing the shoot of his new video Emi ni in which he had featured the late Yoruba rap star Dagrin on his Untouchable album.
We learnt however that the rap musician traveled after being twice disappointed fellow artiste Flavour N’abania who was billed to shoot his own part of the video Ebemsi another tract on the same album which he had been featured in.
Flavour had disappointed the rap star twice; failing to appear on location after two consecutive arrangements to shoot his chorus scenes far inside a village in Ogun state.
Showtime learnt that if things had gone well and on schedule, this track which featured Flavour would have been shot first before Emi ni which has now rules the airwaves.
Rugged man’s publicist Mr Raphael Kalejaye confirmed this but was quick to stem any wild fire likely to erupt in the media over it.
He said “It’s true that Flavour did not show up for the shoot but it’s not really a serious issue. He went for a video shoot on MI’s song. I can tell you that he is ready now and we are likely to resume shooting again next week”
Flavour had added his melodious tenor to Ruggedman’s 18 tract album Untouchable with hits like Ebemsi, Emi ni, Rush Rush and a word is enough for Rugged man amongst others
