Nigerian builders, consultants, mortgage finance institutions and other related companies will next month be at the Washington DC., USA headquarters of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for a one week training. The training which is being facilitated by Messrs Niche PR, will enable the participants to learn how America builds and the current global challenges facing the housing industry.
They will also to taught how to secure international funds for housing and ways to remain in business. The training courses will also deal with land and site development planning and business management for building professionals.
NAHB is a Washington based trade association founded in 1942, with a mission to enhance the climate for housing and the building industry. NAHB training programme brings together experts and professionals in the building industry to share latest technologies and trends in the building industry. The training is a certified programme which can enhance career development.
Also considering the benefits attached to the NAHB membership, arrangements are being made so participants may have the opportunity to register as NAHB members.
Disclosing this to newsmen the Chief Executive Officer of Niche PR Mrs. Marcella Iyitor said the lead instructor, Thomas Stephani, will be speaking and training on how America builds, property rights in America, types of houses and builders, typically building process and the building materials America uses.
Thomas Stephani, Iyitor explained, is the president of Stephani enterprise, LCC and construction concept Inc. and is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer on issues relating to the residential construction industry. He also writes for industry magazines such as custom builders magazines.
Participants, according to the Niche PR boss, are expected to visit the World Bank Headquarters in Washington DC. To have sessions on ways of accessing funds for real estate development, mortgage financing, housing production financing and housing finance system regulation.
“This will give participants the opportunity to network and also meet with other stakeholders in the industry. Participants will also be visiting the NAHB research center in upper Marlboro for a facility tour and presentation.
