BENIN – A CHIEFTAIN of the Edo State Chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Prince John  Mayaki, yesterday, in Benin City, berated the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  for blackmailing the state governor, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, over the sack of two Commissioners from the Esan extraction.

Edo North ACN chieftain,  in a statement, said the recent campaign of calumny against the govoernor was misplaced, noting that it was an attempt to whip up ethnic sentiments against the  governor.

The statement read “I read an article in the papers recently titled, ‘Oshiomhole’s ethnic cleansing in Edo’ by one Okheredia Ihimekpen, a known PDP chieftain and another by one Sufuyan Ojiefo, titled Edo Central polls, between Oshiomhole and Hedonism, where they attempted in vain to instigate the peace loving people of Edo Central Senatorial District against the personality of  Governor Oshiomhole.”
